Paralleling modules of the NEVO+ modular power supply series without current share cables causes an uneven load accross the modules. Each module is loaded to full capacity in sequence, leading to reduced efficiencies and reliability.
By connecting the Icontrol pins on the parallelled modules together the outputs are forced to deliver the same current, which ensures system reliability is maximised as the workload is distributed evenly across all parallelled modules. For ease of use we have created a current share cable which can easily be installed during product configuration (CAB-CSx, where x is number of parallelled outputs).
The use of current share cables results in increased efficiencies, lower system temperatures and extends the life of the modules.
