Vox Power | VCCM Series Current Share Demonstration
Paralleling modules of the VCCM600 modular power series without current share cables can cause uneven loads across the modules. Each module is loaded to full capacity in sequence, leading to reduced efficiency and reduced reliability.
The use of current share cables regulates the power delivery, allowing for consistency across every module. This results in increased efficiencies, lower system temperatures and extends the life of the modules. Please contact Vox Power for any further queries.
By connecting the Icontrol pins on the paralleled modules together the outputs are forced to deliver the same current, which ensures system reliability is maximised as the workload is distributed evenly across all paralleled modules. For ease of use we have created a current share cable which can easily be installed during product configuration (CAB-CSx, where x is number of paralleled outputs).
The use of current share cables results in increased efficiencies, lower system temperatures and extends the life of the modules.
